Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician in Chantilly, VA. No experience is required as you will be trained, with opportunities to obtain certifications in soils, concrete, and radiation safety.

You will work under experienced professionals to perform field observations, sampling, and testing on construction sites. Responsibilities include conducting field and laboratory tests, collecting data, and communicating site conditions to project managers.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 85 pounds.
• Must have valid driver's license and insurance.
• Willing to develop understanding of heavy construction safety and CMT principles.
• OSHA 10 certification may be required.
• Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).

Responsibilities

• Conduct observation, testing, and sampling of materials (soils, aggregates, concrete) on project sites under supervision.
• Perform routine field and laboratory tests using industry-standard methods and equipment.
• Collect and reduce data from tests, and assist with drafting and administrative duties as needed.
• Maintain daily communication with site contractors, technicians, and project managers; report changes to supervisor.
