Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking field technicians to sample fresh concrete, perform slump, air, and temperature tests, and cast cylinders on active sites. You will verify soil compaction using a nuclear density gauge and document every result the same day, with no prior experience required as we provide training.

Responsibilities include following ASTM test procedures, preparing daily field reports, and communicating results to superintendents immediately.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; entry level training is provided.
• We sponsor field certifications after joining the team.
• Work outdoors at various sites and follow ASTM test methods.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064, C31.
• Run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938.
• Prepare clear daily field reports linked to placement locations.
• Maintain gauge standardization, cure boxes, and chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on the spot.
