Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking field technicians to sample fresh concrete, perform slump, air, and temperature tests, and document results the same day at multiple sites. You will verify soil compaction with a nuclear density gauge and cast cylinders as required.

No prior experience is needed; we train you and sponsor ACI Field Grade I, nuclear gauge safety, and NICET levels as you progress. The work is outdoors, physical, and important to project safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position; no prior experience required.
• Willingness to train for certifications sponsored by the company.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM standards; record results the same day.
• Run field density, moisture tests, and cylinder casting as directed.
• Prepare clear daily field reports tied to placement locations.
• Maintain gauge standardization, cure boxes, and chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on site.
