Lerch Bates is seeking a Field Technician in The Colony, TX to support our Building Science team on new building projects. You’ll perform field testing, collect data, and assist with enclosure evaluations under supervision, gaining hands-on experience in BECx testing, infrared scanning, and leak detection on active sites.

The role emphasizes field work, collaboration with consultants, and growth in building science, commissioning, and QA. Travel to projects in the region is possible as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience on construction sites or building projects.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to document observations clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing and building enclosure evaluations on new construction/renovations.
• Collect technical data and support testing reports and project records.
• Support consultants and project teams on site and in reporting tasks.
