Job summary

Lerch Bates is seeking a Field Technician to support our Building Science team on new building projects and major renovations. You will perform field testing, collect data, and assist with building enclosure evaluations, gaining hands-on experience with BECx testing, infrared scanning, and leak detection.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 1+ year site experience, and strong communication skills. This role involves field work on active construction sites and offers opportunities for

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience on construction sites or related industry.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with Bluebeam is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform standardized building enclosure testing on new construction and major renovations.
• Conduct field testing including ELD, air barrier, water, IR scanning, functional/m mock-up testing.
• Prepare drafts of field reports and maintain project records.
• Support Consultants and project teams to meet schedules and quality standards.
• Work safely on active construction sites and adapt to changing conditions.
