Job summary

Sparus Holdings is hiring a field technician in Beaufort, SC to detect natural gas leaks and protect communities. You will work outdoors, use safety equipment, and respond to incidents with professionalism and urgency.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Detect natural gas leaks and uphold safety standards for the community.
  • Operate with hands-on technology and field equipment.
  • Navigate gas incidents and implement approved solutions.
  • Provide professional, responsive customer service to clients.
  • Communicate findings clearly and accurately to stakeholders.
  • Maintain attention to detail while locating leaks in outdoor settings.
  • Endure outdoor work, walking several miles daily, with up to 20 lbs of gear.

What you'll need to be considered:

Education: High School Diploma OR GED Driver's License: Valid, unexpired Driver's license

Work Schedule - Full Time Monday to Thursday 7am - 5:30pm

What you'll need to succeed:
  • Passion for Environmental Safety: Are you driven by a commitment to safety? You'll play a key role in the detection of natural gas leaks to protect the community and prevent harm.
  • Tech Enthusiast: Direct experience working with hands-on technology is a plus. Yes, your phone & computer count!
  • Problem Solving: Help navigate any natural gas incidents and use our training to implement the proper solution.
  • Superb Customer Service: You're the face of the company. Giving our clients peace of mind by being professional & responsive is the top priority.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to accurately relay findings and convey information is key.
  • Attention to Detail: Being vigilant and staying focused while working is key when locating leaks.
  • Physical Stamina: Technicians work outdoors & must have endurance to perform tasks effectively and safely.
  • Personal vehicle for daily work use: Technicians are eligible for mileage reimbursement to cover the cost of gas & other vehicle maintenance.
  • Physical Requirements: Bending, crouching, kneeling, and walking several miles per day; carry up to 20 lbs. of equipment.

Compensation:

Competitive Compensation: $18 per hour with GUARANTEED automatic $.50 increases at both 60 days and 180 days.
