Position Overview
The Field Technician plays a critical role in data acquisition and site surveying. This position requires extensive travel to diverse client locations across the United States, with occasional international assignments. Field Technicians are responsible for operating specialized equipment, executing survey scopes, documenting data, and ensuring project deliverables meet company and client standards.
This is a full-time, variable-hour position. Hours will fluctuate based on project demands, seasonality, and client needs. While heavy workloads are common during peak periods, Coreskan reserves the right to reduce or pause scheduling during slower periods. No minimum hours are guaranteed.
Essential Responsibilities
- Travel & Logistics: Complete extended travel assignments, typically ranging from 1–8 weeks, including domestic and international locations.
- Maintain adherence to company travel policies regarding transportation, accommodations, and per diem allowances.
- Operate advanced equipment including 3D cameras, 360° cameras, drones, laser scanners, and proprietary capture technology.
- Execute client-specific Scopes of Work (SOW) with precision, ensuring all data and imagery meet quality and accuracy standards.
- Conduct on-site measurements, surveys, MEP asset documentation, and any required revisions to project files.
- Upload, process, and organize captured data in accordance with company protocols.
- Perform quality assurance checks to confirm data completeness and accuracy prior to submission.
- Integrate deliverables into project management systems for internal and client review.
- Represent the company professionally in all client-facing interactions.
- Provide timely status updates, advance on-site issues, and ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Safely transport, operate, and maintain company equipment.
- Comply with OSHA safety requirements, including safe use of ladders, PPE, and site-specific hazard protocols.
- Work within drop ceilings, elevated areas, or confined spaces as required.
- Immediately report equipment damage, loss, or malfunction.
- Ensure adherence to FAA drone regulations and any client or site-mandated safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age of 21.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license; ability to safely operate personal and rental vehicles.
- Physical strength to lift, carry, and transport up to 50 lbs of equipment.
- Physical capacity for long hours on-site: standing, crouching, bending, confined spaces.
- Ability to climb and work from ladders, scaffolding, and other elevated surfaces per OSHA standards.
- Willingness to work within drop ceilings, attics, and overhead spaces using required PPE.
- Comfortable working in construction zones, commercial facilities, industrial sites, or outdoor conditions.
- Flexibility for frequent and extended travel assignments (1–8 weeks).
- FAA Part 107 Drone Pilot Certification: must obtain within designated timeframe.
- Experience with surveying, terrestrial laser scanning, or related data capture technologies.
- Strong technical aptitude in electronics, mechanics, or computer systems.
- Valid U.S. passport for international assignments.
- Multilingual proficiency (Spanish or other languages) considered an asset.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- FAA Part 107 Drone Pilot License (preferred, but not required).
- Experience with advanced laser scanning and photogrammetry.
- Knowledge of MEP asset documentation tools.
- Prior field surveying experience.
- Multilingual proficiency.
Position Details
Position Title: Field Technician
Onsite Hourly Rate: $20.00
Driving/Travel Hourly Rate: $15.00
Per Diem: $55/day in most regions

Additional Information
While this is a full-time position with benefits, Coreskan cannot guarantee a minimum of 40 hours per week during periods of low project volume.
Work Environment
Due to the nature of our field operations, remote or hybrid work is not available for this role.
