Job summary

Sunstate Equipment Co. is hiring a Field Mechanic in Krum, TX. The role pays weekly and offers a typical Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM with overtime eligibility.

Two weeks of paid vacation, holidays, and a robust benefits package accompany the position. You will diagnose and repair diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, and Tier 4 aftertreatment on construction equipment, generators, and earthmoving equipment, using your own tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a diesel or heavy equipment mechanic with a construction equipment or equipment rental background required.
• Military experience is welcomed when it includes heavy equipment maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with diesel engines, electrical, hydraulic, Tier 4, and aftertreatment systems required.
• Experience repairing construction equipment, including generators, rollers, and earthmoving equipment.
• Must provide your own tools
• Basic computer skills for work orders, parts ordering, and service documentation.
• Ability to inspect, maintain, diagnose, and repair equipment to manufacturer specifications.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, integrity, and a team-first mindset are essential.
• Stable work history with a commitment to long-term career growth preferred.
