Job summary

Sunstate Equipment Co., LLC is seeking a Field Mechanic in Calhoun, LA to inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel and heavy equipment to manufacturer specifications. You will service generators, rollers, and earthmoving equipment and use your own tools valued around $10,000+.

The typical schedule is Monday–Friday 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM with overtime eligibility, and pay is dependent on experience and paid weekly. We offer uniforms, boot allowance, free equipment rental, medical/dental/vision insurance

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a diesel or heavy equipment mechanic with a construction equipment or equipment rental background.
• Military experience welcomed when it includes heavy equipment maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with diesel engines, electrical, hydraulic, Tier 4, and aftertreatment systems.
• Experience repairing construction equipment, including generators, rollers, and earthmoving equipment.
• Must provide your own tools, averaging $10,000+ in value.
• Basic computer skills for work orders, parts ordering, and service documentation.
• Ability to inspect, maintain, diagnose, and repair equipment to manufacturer specifications.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, integrity, and a team-first mindset are essential.
• Stable work history with a commitment to long-term career growth preferred.
