Job summary

Compucom Staffing is seeking a Field Technician to join our Fargo, ND team. You will be the primary onsite contact for technical issues, troubleshooting, installing and repairing laser printers, wide-format printers, kiosks, POS systems, and related hardware/software.

Collaboration with senior staff may be required to ensure timely resolutions. This is a W2 position located in the Fargo area with strong maintenance, diagnostic, and customer service responsibilities, including on-site and phone

Job description

Our client is currently seeking a qualified Field Technician to join their team in the Fargo, ND area and provide end-user support. This Technician will serve as the primary onsite contact for technical and service-related issues. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, installing, and repairing laser printers, wide-format printers, kiosks, POS systems, and related hardware / software. Collaboration with Level II or Lead Technicians may be required to ensure timely and accurate resolutions.

W2 only, no Corp to Corp.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve issues with printers, kiosks, and POS systems
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software
• Perform routine maintenance to optimize equipment performance
• Deliver clear technical assistance to customers onsite and over the phone
• Maintain accurate service records and uphold quality standards

Skills And Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of printers, computer hardware, and software
• Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or in a team
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Wage Range

The rate for this position is between $16.50 - $22.00 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
