Job summary

Sunstate Equipment Co. in Carrollton, TX is seeking an experienced Field Mechanic to diagnose and repair a wide range of construction and rental equipment.

This role requires hands-on expertise and the ability to work independently to keep rental fleets operating safely and reliably. You’ll earn weekly pay and enjoy benefits such as uniforms, boot allowance, day-to-day tools, and opportunities for career advancement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional diesel mechanic experience.
• Construction equipment, heavy equipment, or equipment rental experience required.
• Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic experience with: Diesel engines, Tier 4 and aftertreatment systems, Electrical systems, Hydraulic systems, Pneumatic systems, Drivetrains.
• Experience performing both major and minor repairs.
• Ability to independently diagnose equipment problems and determine the appropriate repair.
• Experience inspecting, servicing, testing, and returning equipment to manufacturer specifications.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance, including fluid changes, lubrication, and inspections.
• Experience completing accurate service and warranty documentation.
• Basic computer skills for service work orders, parts ordering, and maintenance records.
• Ability to perform basic MIG and SMAW welding repairs.
• Must have the necessary professional mechanic tools for the position, typically valued at $10,000+

Pay Range: Dependent on Experience and discretionary quarterly branch performance bonus
