Job summary

Aperture, a national portfolio of best-in-class forensic expert companies providing full-service expert analysis, is seeking a Field Technician at our Bryant Consultants location in Dallas, TX. This role supports field geophysical and geotechnical testing, and collaborates with engineers and technicians on project tasks.

A High School Diploma and a clean driving record are required; CDL and ACI certifications are preferred. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement with competitive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Assist with field geophysical testing such as GMMIR, GPR, EM and Vibrations Monitoring Equipment.
• Assist with field geotechnical testing such as manual drilling, portable rig drilling, and hand auger sampling, conventional drill rig logging.
• Assist with the performance of other routine testing such as test pits, soil sampling and documentation, piezometer readings.
• Document findings in accordance with project requirements and specifications.
• Coordinate with Manager and Sr. Technician on pertinent project information and duties.
• Operate heavy equipment such as a mini excavator for poly verification and document findings.
• Operate mini-skid steer utility auger for poly verification and drilling for GMMIR profiles.

Bryant Consultants, an Aperture company, is looking for a Field Technician that is ready to further develop their career, or just starting it, for our Dallas, TX location.

Essential Functions

• Assist with the field geophysical testing such as GMMIR, GPR, EM and Vibrations Monitoring Equipment, and Tilt Meter installation.
• Assist with field geotechnical testing such as Manual Drilling, Portable Rig Drilling, and Hand Auger Sampling, Conventional Drill Rig Logging.
• Assist with the performance of other routine testing such as test pits, plumbing claims soil sampling/ documentation, Piezometer readings.
• Assist other Field Technicians, CMT Technicians, Lab Technicians, Project Managers and/or Engineers with specialized testing or routine assignments document findings in accordance, requirements, and specifications with established engineering practice.
• Coordinate with Manager and Sr. Technician(s) on pertinent project information as well as performance duties and seek direction and guidance if necessary.
• Operate heavy equipment such as mini excavator for poly verification process and properly document poly verification findings.
• Operate mini-skid steer utility auger utilized for poly verification and poly drilling for GMMIR profiles.

Physical Requirements

• This position requires that you have the physical ability to perform all the following functions: Climb ladders, walk on roofs, enter and work in confined spaces, work outdoors in hot or cold weather, lift up to 50 pounds, use necessary safety equipment,
• perform duties that may require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, or squatting for prolonged periods of time
• May be required to travel for business purposes.
• The ability to sit at a desk up to 80% of the time
• The ability to stand and walk up to 20% of the time
• The ability to be confined in a small area, such as a cubicle
• The ability to operate phones and computers

Hours of Work

Fulltime: Defined as 5 days a week for 40 hours per week. Actual working hours will be discussed with the hiring manager.
