Job summary

Siemens Energy seeks a Technical Operations Support Engineer to ensure field service teams have the tools, training, and procedures to perform high‑quality work safely and efficiently at job sites. You will collaborate with district offices, service engineering, and tool depots to identify current needs and develop tools and processes, with travel up to 15% to domestic and international sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of field service or related industry experience.
• Experience with gas turbines SGT6-2000E/4000F/8000H is a plus.
• Willing to travel 15% domestically and internationally.
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize processes to improve safety, quality, and schedule of large gas turbine field service events (SGT6 families).
• Develop training criteria for technicians and engineers on specialized tooling and equipment.
• Seek and implement cost savings projects.
• Support field service organization as technical support or shift field engineer during peak outage season when demands dictate.
