Job summary

Siemens Energy, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our on-site service team, performing inspections and maintenance on combustion turbines, generators, and balance-of-plant equipment at customer power plants.

This role requires up to 75% travel primarily within North America, flexibility for extended hours, and a strong mechanical aptitude. You will work in safety‑ and quality‑driven environments, collaborating with a diverse workforce including contract labor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in related industry (e.g., power generation, aviation maintenance, industrial rotating equipment).
• Vocational training or an Associate's Degree in a technical field preferred.
• OSHA 10 Certification required.
• NCCER Basic Rigger certification.
• Forklift Operator Certification.
• TWIC credential.

Responsibilities

• Apply specialized inspection systems, utilize precision measurement tools, and interpret technical blueprints to diagnose and address equipment issues.
• Collaborate with a diverse workforce, including contract labor, to complete complex work scopes to standards and customer expectations.
• Physically capable of heavy lifting, working in confined spaces, and operating at heights.
• Commit to continuous learning and represent the company professionally on customer sites.

As a Field Service Technician, you will be a key member of our on‑site service team, responsible for executing inspections and maintenance during planned and unplanned outages at customer power plants. This role is procedure and process‑driven, requiring a strong focus on safety and quality while working on combustion turbines, generators, and balance‑of‑plant equipment. The position involves significant travel (up to 75%) primarily within North America, and requires flexibility to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays in physically demanding conditions. The ideal candidate possesses a strong mechanical aptitude and a background in industries involving rotating equipment, such as power generation, aviation, or industrial maintenance.
