Reporting to the Area Service Manager, the Field Technical Engineer is responsible for OEM service and installation of medical devices. This includes repair, preventive maintenance, upgrades, and documentation of all work performed. Proficiency in either Bone Mineral Densitometry (BMD) or Ultrasound (UL) equipment is required.
Education and Experience: Degree in electronics, biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent; 1-3 years of experience servicing BMD or Ultrasound equipment; experience with mechanical, electronics, or fluidics work; proficiency with electronic test equipment; valid driver’s license.
Preferred: Bachelor's in Electrical or Biomedical Engineering, or military equivalent with relevant experience.
This role involves physical activity, including lifting up to 50 lbs., and requires the ability to operate a vehicle. Travel up to 80% may be necessary.
