Job summary

Pace Analytical is seeking a Field Tech Team Lead in Huntersville, NC to supervise field/environmental sample collection, testing, processing and reporting. The role requires coordinating operations, guiding staff, and ensuring SOP compliance while maintaining client communication and safety standards.

You will lead by example, train associates, manage workloads, prepare field kits and vehicles, and document observations and results in clear reports to support environmental programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 8+ years in environmental support.
• At least 2 years in highly specialized operations.
• Associates degree strongly preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Influences performance management including hiring, goal setting, development and recognition.
• Trains and coaches associates, ensures SOP adherence and recognizes team contributions.
• Ensures timely client responses and re-routes work as needed.
• Provides field services including sample collection, testing, documentation and communication of results.
• Picks up, transports and delivers results, samples, documents and materials.
• Prepares vehicles and field kits for daily operations with safety in mind.
• Writes comprehensive reports and maintains logs and related databases.
• Offers advanced policy guidance to staff and management on field operations.
• Resolves issues through researching and recommending solutions.
• Assists with policy implementation to meet organizational needs.
• Contributes to efficient service by active team participation.
• Promotes Pace Analytical mission through courteous, cooperative behavior.
