Job summary

Construction Specialties is seeking a technical support specialist to provide installation and product-related help to architects, contractors and customers. You will gather facts, use resources, and decide on timely responses while coordinating travel for site startups and installations.

You will work with R&D, manufacturing, drafting and customer service to obtain data, review orders for discrepancies, and help identify root causes for improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum a 2-year degree in Business, Drafting or related field plus 2 years of related experience.
• Ability to meet deadlines and maintain attention to detail over long periods.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work with customers, architects, contractors, and sales reps.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time.
• Knowledge of construction and manufacturing methods is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to answer installation and product questions via phone and email.
• Coordinate travel for site installations, startups, and site visits.
• Log inquiries in the Tech Support Database daily.
• Interact with R&D, manufacturing, drafting and customer service to obtain needed data.
• Identify root causes and suggest product or process improvements.
• Create and maintain sample product wall for training.
• Ensure ISO 14001 EMS conformance and environmental policy adherence.
