Job summary

Pace Analytical Services, LLC is seeking a Field Technician I to support environmental sampling and testing across air, soil, water, and related media. This full-time role involves travel to customer sites, collecting and testing samples, and maintaining documentation to ensure accurate results.

The position offers a starting wage of $17.50 per hour with overtime as needed, Monday through Friday. A high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of experience in a laboratory or environmental setting is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel with some overnight stays.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer and environmental testing sites.
  • Collect, process and test environmental samples (air, soil, water).
  • Perform field services using standard environmental practices and document results.
  • Transport samples, documents, and materials as required.
  • Prepare vehicles and field equipment for daily operations.
  • Maintain logs, forms, and databases accurately and timely.
  • Support review and implementation of field programs.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Contribute to team improvements and customer service.

Field Technician I Compensation: $17.50 per hour Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM (overtime as needed) The salary for this position reflects a variety of factors. What You’ll Do
  • Travel to customer and environmental testing sites
  • Collect, process and test environmental samples, including air, soil, water, and related media
  • Perform field services using standard environmental support practices, including sample collection, test kit completion, and documentation of results
  • Pick up, transport, and deliver samples, documents, materials, and results as required
  • Prepare vehicles for daily field operations, including instruments, supplies, kits, materials, documentation, and safety equipment
  • Complete and maintain logs, forms, databases, and other documentation accurately and timely
  • Assist with research and recommendations to resolve operational, customer, or employee issues
  • Support the review and implementation of field/environmental programs to meet operational and organizational needs
  • Assist with ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations; elevate issues when needed
  • Contribute to team effectiveness by offering suggestions for improvements
  • Promote Pace Analytical’s mission through professional, courteous, and cooperative interactions with customers and coworkers
What You’ll Bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in related work preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • One year of experience in a laboratory or environmental setting is preferred
  • The ability to travel with some overnight stays
  • Must be comfortable operating a company vehicle equipped with GPS/telematics tracking and inward- and outward-facing safety cameras (no audio recording)
  • Licenses and Certifications Valid driver’s license
  • Continued employment is contingent upon maintaining all required licenses and certifications in active status
