Job summary

Pace Analytical Services, LLC is seeking a Field Technician I in Altoona, PA to support environmental sampling across air, soil, water, and related media. You will travel to sites, collect and test samples, and document results as part of Pace's mission to improve health and safety.

Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a pay rate of $15.00 per hour. A valid driver’s license is required, and some travel with overnight stays is expected.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in a laboratory or environmental setting is preferred.
• The ability to travel with some overnight stays is required.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer and environmental testing sites.
• Collect, process and test environmental samples, including air, soil, water, and related media.
• Perform field services using standard environmental support practices, including sample collection, test kit completion, and documentation of results.
• Pick up, transport, and deliver samples, documents, materials, and results as required.
• Prepare vehicles for daily field operations, including instruments, supplies, kits, materials, documentation, and safety equipment.
• Complete and maintain logs, forms, databases, and other documentation accurately and timely.

What You'll Do

• Assist with research and recommendations to resolve operational, customer, or employee issues
• Support the review and implementation of field/environmental programs to meet operational and organizational needs
• Assist with ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations; elevate issues when needed
• Contribute to team effectiveness by offering suggestions for improvements
• Promote Pace Analytical's mission through professional, courteous, and cooperative interactions with customers and coworkers

What You'll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in related work preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• One year of experience in a laboratory or environmental setting is preferred
• The ability to travel with some overnight stays

Licenses and Certifications

• Valid driver's license
• Continued employment is contingent upon maintaining all required licenses and certifications in active status
