Job summary

Pace® Analytical Services is seeking a Field Technician to support environmental sampling across air, soil, water, and related areas. You will travel to sites, collect and test samples, and maintain accurate documentation while following safety practices.

The role offers varied hours and will involve field operations with customers and teams. The position requires a high school diploma, potential for overnight travel, and a willingness to work in environmental testing settings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of experience in a laboratory or environmental setting is preferred.
• Ability to travel with some overnight stays is required.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer and environmental testing sites.
• Collect, process and test environmental samples (air, soil, water, and related media).
• Perform field services using standard environmental practices, including sample collection, test kit completion, and documenting results.
• Pick up, transport, and deliver samples, documents, materials, and results as required.
• Prepare vehicles and equipment for daily field operations and safety protocols.
• Complete logs, forms, databases, and other documentation accurately and timely.
• Assist with researching and recommending solutions to satisfy operational or customer needs.
• Support review and implementation of field/environmental programs to meet needs.
• Escalate issues when needed and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Promote team effectiveness and Pace Analytical’s mission through professional interactions with customers and coworkers.

Compensation: $15.00 per hour

Compensation will be determined based based on the candidate’s geographic location, relevant experience, education, skills, and alignment with internal equity. What You’ll Do

• Travel to customer and environmental testing sites

• Perform field services using standard environmental support practices, including sample collection, test kit completion, and documentation of results
• Pick up, transport, and deliver samples, documents, materials, and results as required
• Prepare vehicles for daily field operations, including instruments, supplies, kits, materials, documentation, and safety equipment
• Complete and maintain logs, forms, databases, and other documentation accurately and timely
• Assist with research and recommendations to resolve operational, customer, or employee issues
• Support the review and implementation of field/environmental programs to meet operational and organizational needs
• Assist with ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations; escalat**e** issues when needed
• Contribute to team effectiveness by offering suggestions for improvements
• Promote Pace Analytical’s mission through professional, courteous, and cooperative interactions with customers and coworkers

What You’ll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in related work preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• One year of experience in a laboratory or environmental setting is preferred
• The ability to travel with some overnight stays

Licenses and Certifications

• Valid driver’s license
• Continued employment is contingent upon maintaining all required licenses and certifications in active status
