Job summary

Pace Analytical Services, LLC is seeking a Field Technician I to support environmental sampling and testing across air, soil, water, and related media. This role builds foundational field and environmental knowledge while supporting critical testing programs and customer needs.

Responsibilities include site travel, sample collection and transport, and maintaining thorough documentation. Requires a high school diploma, travel ability, and comfort operating company vehicles with GPS/telematics

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in related work preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• One year of experience in a laboratory or environmental setting is preferred.
• The ability to travel with some overnight stays.
• Must be comfortable operating a company vehicle equipped with GPS/telematics tracking and inward- and outward-facing safety cameras (no audio recording).

• Collect, process and test environmental samples, including air, soil, water, and related media.
• Perform field services using standard environmental support practices, including sample collection, test kit completion and documentation of results.
• Pick up, transport, and deliver samples, documents, materials and results as required.
• Prepare vehicles for daily field operations, including instruments, supplies, kits, materials, documentation and safety equipment.
• Complete and maintain logs, forms, databases and other documentation accurately and timely.
• Assist with research and recommendations to resolve operational, customer or employee issues.
• Support the review and implementation of field/environmental programs to meet operational and organizational needs.
• Assist with ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations; elevate issues when needed.
• Contribute to team effectiveness by offering suggestions for improvements.
• Promote Pace Analytical's mission through professional, courteous and cooperative interactions with customers and coworkers.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Field Technician I

Compensation: $17.00 per hour

Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, every other Saturday for 2-3 hours

The salary for this position reflects a variety of factors. Compensation will be determined based on the candidate's geographic location, relevant experience, education, skills, and alignment with internal equity. Market conditions, budgetary considerations, and organizational compensation guidelines may also influence the final offer.
