Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a certified Field Services Team Leader to supervise and train technicians within the Field Services department. You will ensure that field activities—observation, testing, sampling, and inspections of soils, aggregates, concrete, and structural materials—are performed to project specs.

You will promote safety, maintain equipment, and mentor junior staff, while collaborating with project managers and others to support scheduling, staffing, and client development as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years of related experience in field services or construction materials testing.
• Must maintain basic certifications; advanced certifications may be required.
• Ability to lift 85 pounds and operate field equipment safely.
• Strong understanding of materials testing principles and ASTM standards.
• Proficient data interpretation and evaluation of testing results.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Field Services team to ensure proper training and organization.
• Oversee field activities: observation, sampling, testing, and inspection of construction materials.
• Promote and enforce safety culture; ensure PPE usage and equipment calibration.
• Coordinate with project managers and general contractors; support scheduling, staffing, and recruiting.
• Mentor junior field staff; participate in meetings and business development as needed.
