Qualifications

• High School or GED Diploma; Bachelor’s degree in related discipline, or a combination of experience and education preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of electric utility regulatory requirements to complete thorough reviews and analysis of T&D construction work.
• Expert knowledge of standard tools used in construction work to identify tools, standards and equipment for safe and efficient work.
• Knowledge of industry standards, company specifications, and federal, state, and local requirements for inspections evaluating quality of work.
• Graduate of an approved USDOL Electrical Lineman apprenticeship or equivalent training; documentation of apprenticeship completion may be required.
• Preferred ASQ Quality Improvement Specialist or Certified Quality Auditor certifications.
• Preferred CSP.
• Preferred QEW certification.

Responsibilities

• Travels to various work locations within the state to conduct field assessments and ensure safety and efficiency.
• Partners with the Standards team to use safest and most efficient means to construct T&D facilities.
• Inspects and verifies quality of construction work by crews, including EC tickets, ensuring compliance with HECO standards.
• Audits completed supervisor work packages and ensures proper closeout and documentation.
• Participates in Company emergency response activities as assigned.
