Job summary

Teledyne FLIR Defense is seeking a Field Systems Integration Engineer in the United States to deploy, test, and support software systems in lab and live field environments. You will bridge software development and end users, validating performance on actual hardware at customer sites and live test events.

Initial focus is system-level integration, field testing, and on-site troubleshooting, with growth into customer engagement, installations, and technical support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/EE and hands-on field experience.
• 5+ years in software integration, testing, deployment or system-level validation.
• Willing to travel up to 30% (domestic and some international).
• Experience with networks and computer systems.
• Experience deploying systems at customer sites or field environments.

Responsibilities

• Test and validate software in lab and field deployments to meet user and mission requirements.
• Design, execute, and maintain test plans; document defects from real-world environments.
• Collaborate with developers to diagnose issues during installations and field testing.
• Set up, configure, and integrate hardware/software for testing and customer installations.
• Provide technical support to customers remotely and on-site.
• Troubleshoot software, system, network, and deployment issues at customer sites.
• Travel regularly for installations, demonstrations, and test events.
• Develop deep product knowledge and act as a customer-facing technical resource in the field.
• Work independently in the field while contributing to a team.
