Job summary

The post-bachelors position in the C-PCS group at Los Alamos National Laboratory invites a STEM graduate to design, build, and maintain field deployable spectroscopy systems for molecular studies. You will deploy in field tests, analyze data, and contribute to reports and presentations.

Work involves pressure and fluid systems, hand and machining tools, and LABVIEW-based controls, with onsite duties in Los Alamos, NM. A 1–2 year term is anticipated.

Qualifications

• An experimental background with experience in pressure or fluid systems or similar fields.
• Experience with LABVIEW and/or Python programming; strong communication and data analysis skills.
• B.S. in General Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering with related work building systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain field deployable systems (liquid and gas).
• Monitor and save data from systems and perform data analysis.
• Prepare written reports/presentations and present results to the team.
