Job summary

Teal Energi seeks an experienced technical professional to support deployment, startup, validation and performance assessment of advanced industrial energy systems at customer locations worldwide.

You will serve as the primary technical liaison during project phases, working with engineering, field service, commissioning, and customer stakeholders to identify issues, implement solutions, and drive product improvement through field experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical discipline as listed.
  • Several years of experience in field engineering, equipment commissioning, or industrial troubleshooting.
  • Experience diagnosing mechanical, electrical, or control-system issues.
  • Strong understanding of industrial equipment and operational testing methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced technical professional to support the deployment, startup, validation, and performance assessment of advanced industrial power generation systems at customer locations worldwide.

This highly visible position serves as the primary technical liaison during critical project phases, helping ensure equipment, control systems, and integrated plant solutions perform as intended under real-world operating conditions. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering teams, field service personnel, commissioning specialists, and customer stakeholders to identify issues, implement solutions, and drive continuous product improvement.

What You’ll Do
Commissioning & Field Validation
  • Support startup, commissioning, and operational readiness activities for industrial energy systems at customer facilities.
  • Perform field verification of newly released products, upgrades, software enhancements, and engineering modifications.
  • Evaluate equipment and system performance under actual operating conditions.
  • Execute testing procedures and validation protocols to verify functionality, reliability, and overall system performance.
Technical Problem Solving
  • Investigate operational issues and system abnormalities encountered during installation and early operation.
  • Analyze performance data and identify trends, recurring concerns, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with multidisciplinary engineering teams to perform root-cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Assist in the validation of hardware revisions, software updates, and design improvements.
Customer & Project Support
  • Serve as the technical point of contact for customers during critical commissioning and validation phases.
  • Coordinate activities between site personnel, service teams, project management, and engineering groups.
  • Communicate technical findings, recommendations, and project status updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support risk mitigation efforts and escalation management when complex issues arise.
  • Capture and document field observations, testing results, and operational feedback.
  • Develop detailed technical reports and validation summaries.
  • Provide recommendations that contribute to future product enhancements and engineering initiatives.
  • Share lessons learned that improve reliability, maintainability, and field execution practices.
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical education in: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Energy Systems Engineering; Or a related technical discipline
  • Several years of experience supporting one or more of the following: Field engineering, Equipment commissioning, Industrial troubleshooting, Power generation systems, Controls integration
  • Experience diagnosing complex mechanical, electrical, or control-system issues.
  • Strong understanding of industrial equipment, integrated systems, and operational testing methodologies.
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple departments and customer-facing teams.
  • Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
