Independence Excavating is seeking a Traveling Land Surveyor in Houston, TX. This full-time role involves preparing and reviewing data for field crews, producing and approving cut sheets and as-builts for construction projects, and coordinating initial layouts on site.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of five years of surveying experience, proficiency with Trimble GPS, machine control, and total stations, plus AutoCAD Civil 3D skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum HS Diploma. Additional training and/or related certificate preferred.
• Minimum of five years of previous related experience.
• Experience with Trimble GPS equipment and related surveying tools.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites.

Responsabilités

• Producing and verifying cut sheets.
• Overseeing and coordinating the initial layout at the job site and providing continuous monitoring.
• Providing work control lines and elevations for measurements and installation.
• Checking as-built conditions using surveying techniques.
• Providing topographic and cross-section surveys as required for planning and payments.
• Supervising Surveying Technician and Surveying Trainee personnel.
• Interpreting drawings and specifications for field layout.
