Job summary

Duininck Texas is seeking an experienced Surveyor to join our field team across North and West Texas. You will perform field surveys, construct staking, and layout lines and grades using GPS equipment in support of infrastructure projects.

The role requires 3–5 years in heavy civil construction, proficiency with Topcon, Trimble or Leica systems, and the ability to read topographic surveys and drawings. A valid driver’s license is essential, with occasional travel and overtime expected.

Qualifications

• Safety focus and reporting unsafe conditions.
• 3-5 years of heavy civil construction as a surveyor.
• Proficient with Topcon, Trimble or Leica equipment.
• Knowledge of civil construction principles and practices.
• Ability to read topo surveys, drawings and docs.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong communication and detail orientation.

Responsibilities

• Set up GPS base station where needed and verify precision.
• Complete field surveys, construction staking, layouts.
• Use surveying instruments to layout lines and grades per standards.
• Perform QC checks to ensure compliance with drawings and specs.
• Perform surveys and calculations and provide pay documentation.
• Learn job-related material via instruction.
• Perform various duties as assigned by management.
• Walk, bend, kneel, lift, stretch and sit.
• Work outside in all weather conditions.
• Move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Regularly work extended/overtime hours.
• Travel to job sites across North and West Texas; may include overnight stays.
