Job summary

ACCIONA S.A. is seeking a Field Surveyor to perform topographic, boundary, and construction surveys for roadway alignments and bridges in Louisiana. You will operate GNSS receivers, total stations, and drones to collect precise field data and execute construction stakeouts.

The role includes QA/QC checks, processing data with Trimble software, and mentoring 2–4 crew members. Applicants should have 5+ years of field surveying experience in heavy civil projects, a valid driver’s license, and

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of field surveying experience, roadway/bridge or heavy civil preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license and ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.
• Strong knowledge of geodetic control, coordinate systems, and transformations.
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar survey processing software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct topographic, boundary, and construction surveys for roadways and bridges.
• Operate GNSS receivers, total stations, levels, and drones to collect field data.
• Perform construction stakeout for earthwork, structures, utilities, and roadway features.
• Monitor progress and verify compliance with plans and right‑of‑way limits.
• Perform QA/QC checks on survey data and maintain survey control networks.
• Process data using Trimble Business Center and AutoCAD or equivalent software.
• Prepare as‑built surveys, volume calculations, and digital deliverables (CSV, DXF, LandXML).
• Supervise and train junior survey crew members (2–4 people).
• Support machine guidance operations for dozers, excavators, and grading equipment.
• Maintain daily field notes, logs, and reports for engineers and stakeholders.

Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.**Required Skills and Competencies**At a minimum, the Field Surveyor must have a valid driver’s license and ability to work outdoors in varying conditions. Experience of minimum of 5+ years of field surveying; roadway, bridge, or heavy civil construction project experience is preferred.
