Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc., a Davey company, is seeking an entry-level Survey Technician to join our Gainesville, Virginia team. This role supports wetland locations, tree surveys, topographic and bathymetric surveys, and related field work, with emphasis on accuracy and safety.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, basic math skills, willingness to travel regionally, and the ability to work outdoors.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Basic arithmetic, geometry and trigonometry skills.
• Willingness to travel regionally to support projects outside the Washington D.C. metropolitan area.
• MS Office proficiency; knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, Land Desktop, and GIS a plus.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Join a collaborative team in conducting wetland locations and various surveys.
• Capture land information precisely to keep schedules and budgets on track.
• Assist in summarizing observations and reporting field data.
• Operate survey equipment and navigate varied terrains.
• Communicate with property owners and agencies for access.
• Safely drive and maintain vehicles across terrains.
