NV5, Inc. is seeking a full-time Survey Field Technician (Instrument Operator) for our Cary, NC office. This entry level role supports the Party Chief and Survey Coordinator to complete assignments on schedule.

Responsibilities include operating survey instruments, recording data, maintaining equipment, and assisting with field calculations. The position requires 0–2 years surveying experience and travel readiness in a dynamic field environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 0-2 years of land surveying experience.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license prior to employment–preferred.
• Ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Operate the survey total station and level instruments.
• Record survey data in field books.
• Maintain all survey equipment.
• Assist party chief with survey files and field calculations.
