NV5, a national provider of engineering and consulting services, seeks a Survey Field Technician (Instrument Operator) for our Cary, NC office. This entry-level role supports the Party Chief and Survey Coordinator, performing field measurements, data recording, and equipment maintenance to ensure timely project completion.

You will operate survey instruments, assist with field calculations, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent is required.
• 0–2 years of land surveying experience preferred.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a valid driver's license prior to employment.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate the survey total station and level instruments.
• Record survey data in field books.
• Maintain all survey equipment.
• Assist party chief with survey files and field calculations.
