Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2 years’ survey/data collection experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Basic surveying principles and equipment knowledge helpful.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Reliable with attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist Crew Chief by collecting survey data to produce accurate surveys.
• Cutting and clearing brush from survey lines; load/unload equipment.
• Set elevations, lay out stakes, and mark measurement points.
• Operate survey instruments including Total Station and GPS data collectors.
• Assist in establishing survey control points.
• Record field measurements and enter data into devices.
• Maintain and care for surveying instruments and tools.
• Follow safety protocols and participate in training.
