Job summary

Broward County's Highway Construction & Engineering Division seeks a Survey Technician to support field crews and collect survey data. You will operate a Total Station, read field notes, and help set up traffic control and survey equipment at job sites.

Eligible applicants will have at least one year of technical surveying experience and a Florida Class E driver's license. Preference is given to associates degree holders and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Requires one (1) year technical work in surveying or closely related experience.
• A valid Florida Class "E" Driver's License for the duration of hire.
• Associates Degree or higher in engineering/technical related coursework preferred.
• National Society of Professional Surveyors CST Level 1 or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Run data collector and total station; record field notes and drive to job site.
• Set up signs and equipment; shoot control points and property corners as ordered.
• Assist in establishing baselines for the job and locating survey control points.
