Job summary

ETM Surveying & Mapping Inc. is seeking a survey field crew member to assist the Crew Chief with data collection and survey execution in Orlando, Florida. You will help clear brush, load equipment, set elevations, place stakes, and operate Total Station and GPS devices under supervision.

Responsibilities include instrument setup, routine maintenance, recording measurements, and maintaining safety standards. Strong teamwork and attention to detail are essential for timely, accurate surveys.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years experience in Surveying and Data Collection or related field experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Basic knowledge of surveying principles, techniques, and equipment is advantageous.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Physical stamina and ability to carry and operate surveying equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in collecting survey data and lay out stakes according to crew directions.
• Load/unload equipment and prepare instruments for field use.
• Assist in determining elevations and laying out measurement points.
• Operate survey equipment including Total Station and GPS data collectors under supervision.
• Set up and maintain surveying instruments and perform basic cleaning.
• Record accurate field measurements and report issues to the crew chief.
• Support safety practices and participate in safety meetings.
