Job summary

Kleinfelder in Kansas City is seeking a full-time Survey Field Technician to support civil, development, municipal, and environmental projects. The position is primarily field-based with some in-office work and opportunities for advancement.

You will work with PLS and field crews, perform topographic, boundary, and construction surveys, review field data, and maintain field notes. Training and mentoring are provided along with a path toward Missouri licensure; a competitive benefits package is

Qualifications

Associate degree preferred but not required.
Knowledge of survey calculations, techniques, and procedures.
Valid driver's license.
3+ years of land surveying experience preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated and able to follow directions.

Responsibilities

Follow instructions on specific assignments, objectives and complex workflows.
Perform a variety of in-office and field tasks associated with land surveying projects as directed by PLS or OM.
Performs topographic, boundary, and construction surveys as directed by PLS or OM.
Review, download, and process field data.
Prepare field notes and maintain records.
Perform other like duties as assigned by PLS or OM.
Communicate with Contractors and the Iowa One Call System.
Manhole and Utility inspections.
