Job summary

Kleinfelder in Kansas City is seeking a full‑time Survey Field Technician to support a busy civil/environmental surveying team. The role is largely field‑based with opportunities for some in‑office work as you develop toward PLS and Crew Chief responsibilities.

You will perform topographic, boundary and construction surveys, review field data, and maintain meticulous records while collaborating with engineers and contractors. Training and development are provided.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred but not required.
• 3+ years of land surveying experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Follow instructions on assignments and workflows.
• Perform in-office and field land surveying tasks.
• Conduct topographic, boundary, and construction surveys.
• Review, download, and process field data.
• Prepare field notes and maintain records.
• Communicate with Contractors and the Iowa One Call System.
• Inspect manholes and utilities.
