Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC. seeks a Survey Technician to join our field operations in the US. You will operate field instruments, collect survey data, and support on-site projects across diverse environments.

The role requires 2 years of survey experience or equivalent training, a clean driving record, and physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds. We offer field training, safety programs, and growth opportunities within a national firm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• 2 years related survey experience and/or training preferred.
• Excellent driving record with Florida license; 21+ to drive a company vehicle.
• Must lift up to 60 pounds and work in varying conditions.
• Sponsorship not available now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Reports for work at 6:50 AM each workday.
• Learns how to use field instruments and maintains instruments in good working order.
• Operates all field instruments including levels, Theodolites and GPS equipment.
• Operates a calculator for various survey applications.
• Performs checking procedures for field information (peg-check, circle closure, double angles).
• Performs Basic First Aid when required.
• Adheres to the FDOT safety manual.
• Runs all data collection equipment.
• Monitors on-site issues and contributes to production improvements.
• Participates in continuing education to improve skills.
• Assists in training rod technicians and setup of equipment.
