Job summary

Dewberry is seeking a Survey Crew Chief to lead field survey operations from our Raleigh, NC office. The role involves boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and construction surveys for public and private clients, with travel as needed.

You will supervise crews, ensure accuracy of data, and uphold safety standards on diverse projects. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience as a Survey Party Chief or Crew Chief, strong leadership, and proficiency with robotic total stations, GPS/GNSS,

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Survey Party Chief or Survey Crew Chief.
High School Diploma required; additional surveying-related education is a plus.
Proficient with robotic total stations, GPS/GNSS, data collectors, and digital levels.

Responsibilities

Manage and lead field survey operations in accordance with project requirements and safety standards.
Perform boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, hydrographic surveys, and construction staking.
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot survey equipment including robotic total stations and GPS/GNSS receivers.
Collect, verify, and document accurate field measurements and notes.
Coordinate with project managers on progress, field conditions, and challenges.
Supervise, mentor, and train crew members, coordinating daily activities and safety practices.
