Job summary

United Utility Services in New Orleans, LA is seeking a Field Operations Supervisor to lead our multi-disciplinary field teams and oversee day-to-day survey operations, ensuring safe, efficient data collection.

The role requires coordinating with project management, engineering, and geospatial teams, maintaining equipment readiness, and delivering high-quality results while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Geomatics or related field or equivalent experience.
• FAA Part 107 certification and/or UAS knowledge preferred.
• Strong understanding of field survey practices and safety requirements.
• Experience with GPS/GNSS, UAVs, GPR and basic LiDAR concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise field teams including GPR Technicians, Survey Technicians, UAS Pilots, and Data Processing Analysts.
• Plan, organize, and schedule field survey activities to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Ensure safety and compliance with client protocols and aviation requirements for UAS.
• Oversee equipment, fleet, and logistics for field operations.
• Capture data accurately and ensure metadata standards for downstream processing.
• Communicate project status and field conditions to stakeholders and clients.
• Assist with training and onboarding of new staff; promote safety and quality.
