Pinellas County Public Works is hiring a Survey and Mapping Technician 1 (Instrument Operator) at 22211 U.S. Highway 19 North, Clearwater, FL 33765. The schedule is Monday - Thursday, 6:30 a.m.

- 5:00 p.m. You will operate survey instruments, collect field data, and work under a licensed Professional Surveyor and Mapper to support the County's Capital Improvement Program. Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or possession of a G.E.D. Certificate.
• One (1) year of experience in land survey work; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of survey instruments and assist with field data collection as part of a survey team.
• Perform technical field work on a variety of surveying and mapping projects.
• Work under the direction of a licensed Professional Surveyor and Mapper while developing your technical knowledge and skills.
• Contribute to projects supporting the County’s Capital Improvement Program.
