Job summary

ETM Surveying & Mapping Inc. in Tampa, FL seeks a survey field crew member to assist the Crew Chief by collecting survey data and preparing accurate surveys in a timely manner.

You will help load equipment, clear brush, set stakes, and operate Total Station and GPS data collectors under supervision. Candidates should have a high school diploma, basic surveying knowledge, ability to work outdoors in various weather, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years experience in surveying or data collection is beneficial.
• Basic knowledge of surveying principles and equipment.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist in operating survey instruments under supervision of the crew chief or surveyor.
• Set up survey instruments according to instructions.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic cleaning of surveying instruments.
• Support field surveys including topographic, boundary, and construction layout surveys.
• Establish survey control points and marks.
• Record accurate field measurements and assist in data entry.
• Maintain equipment and report issues.
• Adhere to safety protocols.
