Horrocks in Pleasant Grove, Utah is seeking a hardworking Survey Technician Intern to support survey crews on a Forest Service project in the High Uintas. This internship offers hands-on field experience in a rugged mountain environment and opportunities to learn surveying techniques under experienced surveyors.

Spending time outdoors, carrying equipment, and following safety procedures are expected. Open to current students or recent graduates, with training provided; compensation is $20 per

Qualifications

• Interest in surveying or related fields encouraged.
• Current college or high school students or recent graduates.
• Able to hike and work outdoors.
• Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
• Availability for 2–3 months starting late August.

Responsibilities

• Assist survey crews with fieldwork on a Forest Service project.
• Carry and set up survey equipment on rugged terrain.
• Collect accurate field measurements and survey data.
• Document project features in the field.
• Learn basic surveying techniques under supervision.
• Maintain and organize survey equipment.
• Work as part of a team to complete daily field tasks.
• Spend extended periods outdoors in varying weather.
• Follow safety procedures in remote areas.
• Perform other field-related duties as assigned.
