Qualifications

• Interest in surveying or related fields preferred but not required.
• Current students or recent graduates encouraged to apply.
• Able to hike and work outdoors on rugged terrain.
• Reliable, hardworking, and willing to learn.
• Willing to work 2-3 months starting late August.

Responsibilities

• Assist survey crews with fieldwork on a Forest Service project.
• Carry and set up survey equipment in rugged terrain.
• Collect accurate field measurements and survey data.
• Document project features in the field.
• Learn surveying techniques under experienced staff.
• Maintain and organize survey equipment.
• Work as part of a team to complete daily field assignments.
• Spend extended periods outdoors in varying weather.
• Follow safety procedures in remote areas.
• Perform other field-related duties as assigned.
