Job summary

Accura Engineering is seeking a Field Survey Assistant to collect data, assist the Party Chief, and support field operations across projects requiring precise measurements.

You will operate and maintain surveying instruments (transits, level, theodolite, GPS/EDM), interpret maps and blueprints, and coordinate with office staff and clients. A High School Diploma/GED and 1+ year surveying experience are preferred; travel is required. Competitive salary and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year experience with data collectors and GPS equipment.
• Surveying experience is preferred, GDOT experience a plus.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable.

Responsibilities

• Collect data using company standards for descriptions and line coding.
• Assist Party Chief in running field operations.
• Operate and maintain surveying instruments to measure elevations, angles and distances.
• Coordinate with office staff and clients as required.
• Adhere to survey regulations and Accura procedures.
• Maintain daily timesheets, reports, and vehicle inspections.
• Perform calculations to locate reference points.
• Interpret maps, plats, blueprints, and specifications.
• Clean and adjust instruments to ensure accuracy.
• Oversee activities in the absence of the Survey Party Chief.
• Perform related work as required.
