Job summary

Accura Engineering in Atlanta is seeking a field Survey Technician to collect data, assist the Party Chief, and operate surveying instruments in various environments. You will interpret maps and blueprints while ensuring accuracy and compliance with procedures.

The role requires 1+ years in land surveying, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel. Training and career development opportunities are available in a collaborative field team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; willingness to train on the job.
• 1+ years surveying experience using data collectors and GPS equipment.
• GDOT familiarity preferred and valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Collect data following company standards for descriptions and line coding.
• Assist Party Chief in running field operations.
• Operate and maintain surveying instruments to measure elevations, angles and distances.
• Coordinate with office staff and clients as required.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal survey regulations and Accura procedures.
• Monitor daily timesheets, reports, and vehicle inspections.
• Perform calculations to establish reference points.
• Interprete maps, plats, blueprints, and specifications.
• Keep instruments clean and calibrated for accuracy.
• Oversee surveying activities in the absence of the Survey Party Chief.
• Perform related work as required.
