LJA Engineering is seeking an Instrument Person to transport and set up surveying instruments and equipment. You will help prepare job sites for surveys, clear brush, lay out stakes, and assist with elevations and measurements under the guidance of the Party Chief.

Qualifications

• Must possess strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to build strong internal and external client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Transport and set up surveying instruments and equipment for field surveys.
• Prepare job sites for survey activities by clearing brush or obstructions.
• Lay out stakes and assist with elevations and measurements.
• Hold prism pole steady to help surveyors determine elevations.
• Assist with various surveying equipment and field operations.
• Follow directions from Party Chief to support survey projects.
• Maintain safety and organization of equipment on site.
