Job summary

American Engineering is seeking an Instrument Person to join the Survey Crew in Jupiter, FL. This role marks surveying points, records measurements, and ensures all data is noted accurately to support construction layouts.

Responsibilities include preparing tools, setting up equipment (total stations and GPS), carrying rods and stakes, maintaining safety, and following the Party Chief's directions while staying organized and reliable.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation.
• Traveling to various job sites.
• Ability to handle physically demanding work, including occasional heavy lifting, standing for long periods, and working in all weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and team player attitude.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks as directed.

• Helps with clearing of area to create clear lines of sight.

• Place markers, stakes, or flags to identify boundaries, elevations, or construction layouts.
• Follow supervisor instructions and perform tasks in a timely and safe manner.
• Maintain and organize tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working conditions.
• Operate hand tools and power tools as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
• Perform other duties as required by site management safely.
