Bowman is seeking a Survey Instrument Operator II to join our team in McAllen, TX. You will operate survey instruments, perform boundary, topography and ALTA surveys, and support field crews on a variety of public and private projects.

The role requires 3+ years of survey experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to travel. A strong team mindset and careful data collection are essential for success in this field-driven position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; commensurate experience considered.
• College or technical courses in mathematics and surveying are a plus.
• 3+ years of survey or construction related experience; prior Instrument Operator experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate survey instruments and perform surveys as directed by management.
• Assist field supervisor with daily crew workload and training of junior staff.
• Perform boundary, topography, ALTA, right-of-way, and construction surveys for clients.
• Set up and operate survey equipment, perform calculations, and manage equipment maintenance.
