Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Survey Instrument Operator to support field operations in the Atlanta region. You will collect data using company standards, assist the Party Chief, and operate surveying instruments such as transits, level, theodolite, and EDM equipment.

You will coordinate with office staff and clients while ensuring compliance with survey regulations. Ideal candidates have 1+ years of land surveying experience, GDOT familiarity, and a valid

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• 1+ years of utilizing data collectors, robotic and non-robotic total stations and GPS equipment.
• 1+ years of experience in land surveying.
• Experience with GDOT.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable.
• Willing to train the right candidate without the above noted experience.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Must be willing and able to travel as required for the role.

Responsibilities

• Collect data using company standards for descriptions and line coding.
• Assist Party Chief in running the field operations.
• Operates and maintains surveying instruments (transits, level, theodolite, EDSM) to measure elevations, angles and distances.
• Coordinate with office staff and clients as required.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal survey regulations and Accura procedures.
• Monitor daily timesheets, reports and vehicle inspections.
• Perform mathematical calculations to establish reference points.
• Interpret maps, plats, blueprints and specifications.
• Clean, check and adjust survey instruments for accuracy.
• Oversee surveying activities in the absence of Survey Party Chief.
• Perform related work as required.
